Barbara Jean (Jackson) Rowlett, 84, of Radcliff died August 18, 2017 at her residence. Barbara was born October 18, 1932 in Chickamauga, Georgia the daughter of Arthur Jackson and Laura Rogers. She was united in marriage on October 6, 1951 to James E. Rowlett who preceded her in death on April 25, 2016. Their 64 years of marriage overflowed with love and laughter and their commitment to each other served as a model for their children, grandchildren and friends alike.
Barbara was a successful real estate agent for many years serving the Hardin County area and was a member of the Board of Realtors. She loved reading, needlepoint and was active in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Everyone who knew her will miss her beautiful smile, her easy laugh and her loving words of encouragement.
Barbara is survived by three children, daughter Barbara Carol Bonnell (Jerry) of Radcliff, sons, Michael Edward Rowlette (Rita) of Radcliff and Scott Eugene Rowlett (Jayne) of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; brothers, Ron Rogers (Olga) of Ootlewah, TN, George Rogers of Trenton, GA; and two sisters, Mary Ann Moore of Napierville, IL and Roberta Rogers of Atlanta, GA.
Visitation is from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. A private burial will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
